River Bend

 

Faintly the murmurs are reverberating

Ripples that fade so slow

Unobstructed, unceasingly flowing

Evanescence, nothing to know.

 

Glowing, Lunar reflection, refracted art

No turning back

Lost a forsaken heart

In the shadowed gloomy black

 

Tears that are endless

Broken wishes so distant, so near

Slipping so effortless

Grasping to touch, no cavalier

 

Flowing with each turn, each elapsed choice

Each breath lost into the merciless night

Quiet trickles, broken sobs, silent voice

Muffled weeping in the scattered moonlight

 

Reaching out, pleading, just a simple heart

Forbidden dreams, drifting stream starting to descend

Shattered. Torn apart.

Forever lost around rivers bend.
